LIVINGSTON PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM ANNOUNCES NEW HUB DISTRIBUTION PICKUP SITE

Mary Joy Fasullo • Mar 16, 2022

Livingston Parish Schools, in partnership with Focus Foods, is proud to announce the opening of two new Hub Sites for meal box participants.

The new Hub Sites are located at 19097 Florida Blvd, Albany, Louisiana, 70711 and 815 Florida Ave SW, Denham Springs, Louisiana, 70726. Focus Foods employees will be at this site each week, Tuesday – Saturday, 11:30 am - 6:30 pm, to allow parents the option of pickup of frozen entrée + sides meal boxes in lieu of their current home delivery of shelf-stable meal boxes.

“Having the option to choose either our popular shelf-stable 7-day home delivered meal box or picking up the new frozen entrée' box gives families in Livingston Parish better options under the CACFP program from Livingston Parish Schools” - Ned Fasullo, Chief Marketing Officer, Focus Foods

Families who are already registered with Focus Foods for home delivery can opt to change their registration for pickup of the frozen + sides boxes from this pickup location at https://www.focusfoods.us/change-home-delivery-or-pickup

Parents/families in Livingston Parish Schools who are currently not registered with the program can visit https://focusfoodsregistration.paperform.co to register for meal services.

Under current program guidelines, all children 18 years of age and younger who reside in Livingston Parish are eligible to receive a box containing (7) seven snacks and (7) seven suppers weekly under the USDA guidelines and the CACFP Child Nutrition Program. The meal boxes delivered directly to the child’s current home address contain shelf-stable snack, supper, and milk. The meal boxes available for pick-up from our retail hub site will contain ready to eat frozen suppers, shelf-stable snacks, and milk.

The CACFP virtual learning component is easily assessable on the Focus Foods website: https://www.focusfoods.us/cacfp-learning
