Home Subscription Box Helps Combat Food Insecurity for Louisiana Families.

BATON ROUGE, LA — Louisiana-based Focus Foods is proud to announce a new meal subscription service for families. With the end of the COVID-19 child nutrition Congressional waivers, tens of thousands of families lost the benefits of the home delivery program. In an effort to combat this, Focus Foods developed a USDA child nutrition certified home subscription box.

“When the Congressional waivers ended, Focus Foods received an overwhelming number of requests on how to continue receiving food. These meal subscription boxes are a great way for families to continue a service that was a lifeline to many during the pandemic.” MJ Fasullo, Marketing Communications Specialist with Focus Foods

Parents can sign up to receive the five-day meal boxes to be delivered straight to their door once a week. The components in each meal box meet the daily required amount of protein, fruit, grains, and vegetables as stipulated by the USDA. Currently, there are two subscription options available for families to choose from: the breakfast and lunch 5-day box for $22.99, or snack and supper 5-day box for $24.99. Families can expect exciting and delicious options to help fill the gaps in daily grocery needs, or provide prepared/pre-packaged options for kids at home that doesn’t require any heating to consume.
